Staying home these last two months has definitely been an adjustment. Work, life, play, and school all look very different than they did just a few short months ago. My cozy slippers are being worn round the clock instead of only at the end of the day and my favorite mug is keeping my tea warm throughout the day instead of only in the morning as I’m running out the door! As we are on the edge of saying goodbye to summer, I am arranging and rearranging our home just to keep things interesting!
Here is a list of things that I’m really loving right now that make staying home a little bit sweeter.
Trays. I have a thing for trays. I just love how you can put things on a tray and suddenly everything looks pulled together. I use them for everything. From decor to something more practical like wrangling legos so they don’t wander about the house. I have a few cute plastic trays that I use to take lunch outside and if something spills, it’s really easy to wipe up. I will say that my favorites are rustic wood trays that I can dress up depending on the season. Right now, I have a cute succulent and candle theme right now. In the fall, I change it out for miniature pumpkins and in the winter I love to add bottle brush Christmas trees.
Candles. I have them all over and absolutely lighting them. They definitely transform the mood of a home. My brother gave me my first Benevolence candle for my birthday a couple of years ago and I fell in love. I love their message of giving back and their candles are delicious. Plus they look beautiful on a wooden tray. Another candle I’m loving right now is Geranium by Mrs. Meyer’s.
Slippers. I’m living in comfy slippers these days! I’m one of those people that needs to be cozy and when we got hardwood floors 9 years ago, I quickly realized I needed slippers. I’m also someone that is always cold. So in the winter, I will size up on my slippers so I can wear socks with them! In the warmer months, I opt for open-toe slippers. Right now I’m loving these soft ones by Jessica Simpson.
Mugs. I absolutely love tea, even better if it’s in an adorable mug. But I hate warming up my tea 100 times a day! That’s why I’m obsessed with this stainless steel mug by YETI. My favorite is the seafoam green and you can choose from several different colors. With my cute mug in hand, I can tackle the day.
Cozy throw blankets. We have been spending more time curled up under a cozy blanket on the couch reading stories and watching movies. Or going outside and watching the fire in our outdoor fire pit on chilly spring evenings. I always have a blanket in tow and this reversible one is super soft and extra cozy!
Eye gel masks. These eye gel masks are one of my favorite products that Arbonne makes! Hands down, these are a game-changer when it comes to tired, puffy eyes. These little babies go under each eye and stick on. That means you can multitask around the house all while depuffing and reducing dark circles. The recommendation is to leave them on for at least 15 minutes, I usually forget and they stay on for an hour or so! One of my dear friends keeps them in her fridge and swears that the gel feels even better when it’s cold. I love how much more awake I look at I take them off!
What are some things you’re loving right now? How are you making your time at home a little bit cozier? I can’t wait to hear from you!
